Young Women’s Leadership Symposiums are a great way to recognize successful women in the community and encourage young women to pursue their goals. They are also a great way to promote female equality in the workplace and at home. Young women will learn about what it takes to be a successful woman and gain confidence that they can achieve their goals.
MAC Women’s Leadership Symposium
The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) recently hosted the 2019 Women’s Leadership Symposium at Alvernia University. The goal of the event is to develop and enrich the skills of women interested in intercollegiate athletics and leadership. This weekend event featured interactive sessions on career development, leadership, and networking with peers and coaches.
The Women’s Symposium features programming that is tailored to the needs of a college-age audience. The program includes career development breakout sessions, presentations by industry-leading women, and resume reviews. In addition, the event features business plans from women-led teams, which compete for seed money.
The Women’s Leadership Symposium recently hosted a Women in Media conference, featuring screenwriter Lisa Ryu and actress Emma Needell. The symposium’s goal is to hold this conference annually. The first event was held in October 2018. Lisa Ryu and Emma Needell, a Hopkins alumna, spoke about their personal relationships with filmmaking.
Austin Peay State’s Young Women’s Leadership Symposium
Young women can explore their leadership potential during an upcoming college camp organized by a Tennessee college. The Young Women’s Leadership Symposium will take place at the Morgan University Center Ballroom on Friday, March 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event is open to the public and includes free lunch and informational breakout sessions. Participants will learn about different leadership styles and civic engagement activities. They will also be assigned a service learning project to complete and present to the other students.
Participants will learn about the benefits of leadership through several sessions that address topics such as social responsibility, community service, and overcoming generational stereotypes. There will also be an opportunity to hear a keynote speech by Congressman Phil Roe. The program is part of the National Endowment for the Humanities’ Created Equal initiative.
During the symposium, participants will learn about successful women in leadership positions. The event is a tribute to such women, as well as empowering young women to achieve their goals. The day-long event is open to women and men from all backgrounds. The program is led by the department of Political Science & Public Management.
Austin Peay State is a member of the ASUN Conference. The school has won five of its last six home games and is 26-20 all-time in home openers. The Lady Raiders are coached by head coach Carolyn Young, who led the team to its first postseason win in school history.
Susquehanna University’s Women’s Leadership Initiative
The Women’s Leadership Initiative is a new initiative aimed at giving female students a competitive edge in the workforce. The initiative is being developed to provide women with professional development opportunities and a robust four-year curriculum. The program features opportunities to participate in professional conferences and internships, and connects female students with alumnae who can serve as mentors.
The camp is sponsored by the Susquehanna University’s Sigmund Weis School of Business. This initiative offers students from various colleges and universities in Pennsylvania the opportunity to build a business while also developing their leadership skills. LIFE Camp is a six-day course that emphasizes problem-solving and team-based leadership skills.
The Women’s Leadership Initiative on a college campus teaches young women to become strong leaders and become effective leaders. Its faculty members provide hands-on learning experiences to enhance students’ skills. Students can choose to pursue a major in business, health care, biomedical sciences, arts, and humanities. Those interested in writing can also join the college’s summer workshop, which has been running for three decades. Writing students can work on fiction and poetry.
