The SYEP Coordinator for the Young Women’s Leadership School in Staten Island

The SYEP Coordinator is responsible for managing the caseload of participants and worksites. They conduct pre-assessment to ensure worksite compliance, assist with orientations and Career Fair events, conduct weekly worksite visits, report violations to SYEP leadership, and develop positive working relationships with worksite supervisors. They also assist with closing out packages and collections of missing documents.

Since its founding in East Harlem in 1996, the Young Women Leadership School has become an all-girls college prep school focused on leadership, health, and STEAM. Until recently, Staten Island had no such school. That was until former Borough President James Oddo and DOE Chancellor Carmen Farina discussed starting one on Staten Island.

Amanda Brooke Rosenblum

Amanda Brooke Rosenblum is a graduate of Dartmouth College, where she studied English Literature and Women’s and Gender Studies. She then completed coursework for a Master of Liberal Arts at the CUNY Graduate Center. Since then, she has been working in the education field. A native of New York, she is also a founder of the nonprofit Trans Bodies, Trans Selves, Inc.

Bailey Griswold

Bailey Griswold is a New York City-based educator and the Director of Academics at Row New York. Originally from Baltimore, she received her Master of Science in Teaching from Pace University in 2014. She is pursuing her second master’s degree in Urban Informatics at NYU’s Center for Urban Science and Progress.
