The Youth Womens Leadership Academy aims to develop and nurture future leaders through mentoring, networking and leadership development. Scholarship

Friends of YWLA
If you are looking for ways to give back to the YWLA, consider becoming a member of the Friends of Youth Womens Leadership Academy (Friends of YWLA). YWLA is a nonprofit organization that helps young women get into college and prepare for life after graduation. As a member of the Friends of YWLA, you can volunteer in various areas and share your time and talents to help the organization meet its goals.
YWLA has a rigorous academic program. It also offers enrichment courses and extended-year summer learning projects. The school places a special emphasis on STEM subjects, such as math, science, and engineering. In addition, YWLA offers Pre-Advanced Placement courses, starting in sixth grade. Eventually, these courses will make up the majority of the high school curriculum.
Brown Leadership Institute
The Brown Leadership Institute is a highly selective four-week program for young women in grades 9-12. The program focuses on fostering social justice, entrepreneurship, and women in leadership. Besides classroom sessions, students engage in extracurricular activities. This program is open to youth from diverse backgrounds, and the goal of the program is to increase their confidence and skills for advocacy.
This program is sponsored by the IU Kelley School of Business, and it is geared toward women in their junior year of high school. The curriculum includes case study activities and seminars with Kelley faculty. To apply, students should submit an online application form.
